Although people will still be able to use the chatbot for free, the ChatGPT Plus plan provides some benefits.

Chat developer OpenAI says subscribers will have shared access to the chatbot even during peak hours. They will also receive faster response times from ChatGPT, as well as priority access to updates and features.

Paid subscription is currently only available in the USA. In the following months, OpenAI plans to gradually invite people from the ChatGPT Plus waiting list.

The company also intends to open a plan for people in other countries and regions in the near future.

OpenAI says the premium plan will help keep ChatGPT free for other users.

In addition, the company promises to introduce cheaper tariffs, as well as business plans and other packages to increase accessibility.

Blocking for Ukrainians

Earlier, the Ministry of Finance wrote that OpenAI restricted access to its products for Ukrainians in order not to violate international sanctions due to the annexation of the LDNR and Crimea in 2014.

OpenAI — the publisher of the super-popular ChatGPT AI service — put Ukraine on the same list as Russia, Afghanistan, Belarus, and Iran, and blocked access to its products.

During the full-scale Russian invasion, OpenAI released two popular artificial intelligence innovations — DALLE-2 and ChatGPT.

Basic versions are free and it is impossible to test them while in Ukraine. A week later, ChatGPT had more than 1 million users. More than 3 million people used the DALLE-2 service as of November 2022.
