Oleksiy Chernyshov, the head of the Naftogaz Group, said that he is wary of rumors that the state may take away the chemical business from oligarch Dmytro Firtash, but the group is paying close attention to the direction of fertilizers.

About this stated the head of Naftogaz Group, Oleksiy Chernyshov, in an interview with Economic Pravda.

“I am not a big supporter of receiving “additional wagons” with a lot of problems. Any company that joins the group requires investments, there are some surprises, as with Glusco,” Chernyshov noted.

According to him, the Naftogaz group should pay close attention to the direction of fertilizers.

“Having surplus gas and not turning it into a product with added value is a sin, especially in an agrarian state. It is clear that this is our future. We will see whether it will be existing or new enterprises,” he noted, adding that within the group, relevant research and calculations.

However, according to Chernyshov, the Group does not plan to do this in 2023. In particular, there is currently no gas surplus, and additional gas is needed to enter such a business.
