In the Krasnodar region, the head of the Maykop training air regiment, Colonel Vadim Gurov, was killed when a training plane crashed. The head of Adygea, Murat Kumpylov, reported this on Tuesday in his Telegram channel.

In the text, Kumpylov noted that Gurov for many years led one of the military units of the Maykop garrison, was a participant in the military operation in Syria and the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine.

A day earlier, the Ministry of Defense reported that an L-39 combat training plane had crashed in the Kuban region. The department clarified that one of the crew members died. The plane fell into the airfield during approach. There were no destroyed or injured people on earth.

On August 12, an Su-30 fighter jet crashed in the Kaliningrad region, the crew members were killed. The preliminary cause of the crash was called a technical malfunction, the plane was performing a training flight and flew without ammunition. The fighter crashed in a deserted place. The Moscow Times noted at the time that the crashed Su-30 became the eighth combat aircraft to crash within Russia’s internationally recognized borders since the beginning of 2023.
