Debt restructuring: Naftogaz is processing bondholders’ responses and preparing a formal proposal

JSC “Naftogaz of Ukraine” is processing feedback from Eurobond holders to prepare a formal debt restructuring proposal.
It is reported the press service of the company.
The NAC reminded that an online meeting with holders of Eurobonds 2022 and 2026, where a working scenario for solving the situation with securities was proposed, was held on March 10.
Currently, the company, together with the financial advisor Lazard Frères SAS, is processing feedback from Eurobond holders to prepare a formal restructuring proposal.
The formation of the working scenario was influenced by the position of the owners of Eurobonds, as far as the situation and restrictions imposed by the Cabinet of Ministers in connection with the full-scale war and the related destruction of the infrastructure of the group of companies allow.
“The strategic goal of Naftogaz is to restore the trust of the company’s partners. We are currently waiting for the feedback from Eurobond holders. I am sure that soon we will find a solution that will suit both our country and the bondholders,” explained Oleksiy Chernyshov, Chairman of the Board of Naftogaz of Ukraine.
