Elon Musk published a meme about Zelensky. In Ukraine, he was answered

Businessman Elon Musk, owner of the X social network (formerly Twitter), published on his page on Monday photo collage with the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky. He (or the nameless author of the collage) accompanied the photo of Zelensky with a tense expression with the caption: “When five minutes have passed and you still haven’t asked for a billion dollars in aid.”

Mask’s post received more than 34 thousand comments in the first few hours after publication. Most of them are judgmental. Users write about the need to support warring Ukraine and remind Mask that military aid packages are investments in the American military-industrial complex, that is, in the US economy. They also publish collages: Mask in the uniform of the Russian army, Mask in the form of a dog on a leash with the President of Russia Vladimir Putin, and the same portrait of Mask, but with the caption: “When five minutes have passed and you still haven’t said a single stupid thing” .

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on the same social network X published a similar collage with Mask’s face and the caption: “When you haven’t been spreading Russian propaganda for five minutes” (now this post deleted – it is unknown, on the initiative of the Council or the administrators of the social network).

I would call the meme posted by Mask “bordering on insulting.” Ukrainian publicist Mykhailo Tkach addressed Mask with an open letter “Saving the world is not business.”

  • Elon Musk consistently advocates the reduction of US and NATO military aid to Ukraine and the resolution of the conflict through negotiations. A year ago, he proposed his own plan for the settlement of the war, according to which new referendums should be held on the territories occupied by Russia, and Ukraine should maintain its neutral status.
  • In September, the European Commission published a report in which it asserts that Musk’s actions at the post of Chapter X help spread Russian propaganda.
