Energy workers restored 55% of damaged infrastructure facilities

Energy workers, together with local authorities and utility workers, restored more than 55% of the energy infrastructure facilities destroyed and damaged by the Russian aggressor. This was announced by the head of Naftogaz Ukrainy JSC, Aleksey Chernyshev, on his Facebook page.

“Despite the shelling, local authorities, utilities and energy workers have already restored more than 55% of infrastructure facilities destroyed or damaged by the enemy, which allow us to supply Ukrainians with heat,” he wrote.
According to Chernyshev, where the situation allows, housing, hospitals, schools and kindergartens are provided with heat in full.
“No matter how much the enemy wants us to freeze, this will not happen. You and I have already passed the first half of the heaviest heating season in the history of Ukraine. We will definitely pass the second one,” he summarized.

Massive attacks on the Ukrainian energy infrastructure continue since October 10. Damages are complex and their recovery still requires significant resources and time.
