Exchange rate on April 18: the hryvnia strengthened on the “black market”

On Tuesday, April 18, after a week of weakening, the hryvnia strengthened against the dollar and the euro on the “black market”, but the exchange rate remained almost unchanged in bank cash registers.
This is stated in the data minfin.com.ua, finance.ua.
At 11:10, the dollar exchange rate on the “black market” was UAH 37.63 – 37.79, and on Monday, April 17, the exchange rate fluctuated between UAH 37.71 – 37.89. The hryvnia strengthened slightly against the dollar after weakening over the past week.
Like the exchange rate against the dollar, but more significantly, the “black” exchange rate of the hryvnia against the euro strengthened. At the same time, it was UAH 41.05 – 41.31 against the rate of UAH 41.20 – 41.55 per euro on Monday.
The average currency exchange rates at bank counters were as follows:
- US dollar – UAH 37.5 – 38.0 (rate on April 17 – UAH 37.5 – 38.0);
- Euro – 40.75 – 41.5 UAH (rate on April 17 – 40.8 – 41.65 UAH).
In terms of banks, the cash rates are as follows:
- Privatbank – UAH 37.3 – 37.8;
- Oschadbank – UAH 37.6 – UAH 38.5;
- Ukreximbank – UAH 37.55 – 38.15;
- Raiffeisen – UAH 37.4 – 38.0.
As for non-cash payments, the exchange rate when paying by card in banks in Privatbank is UAH 37.45 per dollar, in Oschada – UAH 37.12, in Universal Bank (monobank) – UAH 37.44.
