Exchange rate on August 16: the hryvnia gets cheaper on the “black market”

On Wednesday, August 16, the hryvnia weakened against the dollar and euro on the “black market”, as well as in bank cash registers.
This is stated in the data minfin.com.ua, finance.ua.
At 11:30, the dollar against the hryvnia on the “black market” strengthened and was 37.54 – 37.68 hryvnias against quotes of 37.43 – 37.56 on Tuesday.
At the same time, the “black” rate of the euro also strengthened, and amounted to UAH 41.14 – 41.41 against the rate of UAH 40.98 – 41.36 per euro on Tuesday.
The average currency exchange rates at bank counters were as follows:
- US dollar – UAH 37.1 – UAH 37.75 (exchange rate on August 15 – UAH 37.0 – UAH 37.65);
- Euro – 40.8 – 41.75 UAH (rate on August 15 – 40.8 – 41.5 UAH).
In terms of banks, the cash rates are as follows:
- Privatbank – UAH 36.95 – 37.55;
- Oschadbank – UAH 37.05 – UAH 37.9;
- Ukreximbank – UAH 37.15 – UAH 37.95;
- Raiffeisen – 37.0 – 37.9 UAH.
As for non-cash payments, the exchange rate when paying by card in banks in Privatbank is UAH 37.45 per dollar, in Oschada – UAH 37.12, in Universal Bank (monobank) – UAH 37.44.
