On Wednesday, April 26, Centerenergo, which is managed by the State Property Fund, started exporting electricity for the first time in its history. This was reported by the press service of the Federal State University.

Moldova became the first importer of electricity.
The Fund believes that exports will allow Centerenergo to reduce its dependence on the situation on the domestic electricity market and gain access to EU markets.
“The company is working on the development of cooperation with the European energy sector in order to increase the volume of electricity exports,” the message says.

Earlier, the Ministry of Finance wrote that Ukraine started exporting electricity to Slovakia on April 17. It became the third country in Europe that began to buy Ukrainian energy after the resumption of its export.
