Foreign children who put out the Eternal Fire are deported from the Russian Federation

The police checked the families of three children who on December 10 extinguished the Eternal Fire in Krasny Selo in St. Petersburg with snow. The regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported about this in its social networks.

In the video published by “Fontanka”, one of the teenagers throws snowballs at the Eternal Flame, while the other two cheer him on. When the fire went out, the children ran away.

The police established the identities of the children — they were two brothers aged 10 and 14, as well as another 12-year-old boy. The children and their parents turned out to be citizens of “one of the neighboring countries,” the police report says. According to “Fontanka” and “Baza”, families of teenagers came to Russia from Uzbekistan.

The Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in St. Petersburg stated that the children’s families were in Russia in violation of migration legislation. In this regard, the police intend to apply to the court for their expulsion from the country together with their parents.

The materials of the police investigation, as well as the teenagers themselves and their parents, which were transferred to investigative bodies for procedural actions, were added to the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

On December 11, State Duma deputy Alexander Khinshtein reported in his Telegram channel about the detention of two schoolboys aged 10 and 14.

Police in various cities of Russia regularly detain people who commit any actions with the Eternal Flame. Usually, they draw up reports on administrative offenses, however, criminal cases are also often brought under articles on the desecration of burial sites or the rehabilitation of Nazism.
