According to a TASS source in the law enforcement agencies, Yarilova is suspected of fraud in the case of the theft of 200 million rubles with the help of the “Pushkin map” project.
According to the investigation, residents of the Moscow Region Viktor Yakubov, Emil Gurbanov and Ilya Safonov received fictitious “Pushkin cards” and stole 200 million rubles. To do this, they announced the event and organized a “mass purchase” of tickets. However, the event did not take place. The suspects are in custody, their property has been seized.
Olga Yarilova held the position of Deputy Minister of Culture from 2018 to 2022. She left the post of her own free will.
The program of cultural education for young people “Pushkin map” was launched in September 2021. Russians between the ages of 14 and 22 can get them. With the help of a card with a face value of five thousand rubles, they can pay for trips to theaters, museums and cinemas.
