From November 7, changes to the customs legislation, which relate to the conditions of control and registration of both import and export goods, will enter into force.

About this informs press service of the State Customs Service.

Accordingly, from November 7, the rules providing for the possibility of customs clearance of goods without presenting them to the customs office will no longer be valid.

In this regard, on November 3, a meeting of the Public Council at the State Customs Service of Ukraine was held with the participation of Acting Serhiy Zvyagintsev, head of the State Customs Service and representatives of specialized units.

It is noted that the main issue on the agenda was the level of readiness of customs authorities and businesses to work in new conditions. Representatives of the State Customs Service provided detailed explanations regarding the presentation of goods to the customs body.

“Regarding the most common question from businesses about the inspection of cargo vehicles: customs will not apply an inspection of 100% of vehicles. Instead, a risk-oriented approach remains. At the same time, the number and dynamics of triggering risk profiles will not increase, so the number of inspections will not increase,” the message says. .

In addition, customs received the necessary number of seals, changed the schedules of terminals to be able to clear goods on time, and took a number of other measures necessary for the sustainable functioning of customs and legitimate business facilitation.

The State Customs Service adds that in order to solve problematic issues during the transition period, the contacts of officials of the customs authorities will be made public. Information about the list of arrival places will also be disseminated on available resources.

Economic truth.
