Georgia has allowed Ukrainians to enter the country, to whom it had previously denied entry

Georgian border guards let six citizens of Ukraine from the Kherson region into the country, who were refused entry earlier on August 17.
Ukrainians, who were threatened with returning to the territory controlled by the Russian authorities, spent ten days in the buffer zone, notes the publication “Mediazon” with reference to the human rights organization UnMode.
Journalists remind us that in the fall of last year, Russia, retreating from Kherson, forcibly removed convicts from there, who were then placed in Russian colonies. Those whose term ended later are often sent to centers for the temporary detention of foreigners.
Five citizens of Ukraine, who were not allowed to enter Georgia on August 17, were just such former prisoners. Another Ukrainian entered Russia on his own, but was placed in a filtration camp. All of them, having tried to cross the Russian-Georgian border, flatly refused to return to the territory of Russia.
