In contrast to corrosion capital (which includes oligarchic, Russian, Chinese capitals), which we studied earlier – constructive capital represents Ukrainian business that is not connected to the state, oligarchs, sanctioned companies or Russia.

Constructive capital played a key role in building a competitive market economy in Ukraine. While foreign investments in Central Europe shaped the landscape of the new post-communist economy, in Ukraine this role was played by local capital

In our work, we calculated how much such capital is currently working in Ukraine and how it can be developed.

Special attention in the study is paid to small and medium-sized businesses – companies not related to the privatization of Soviet state-owned enterprises.
