In Angarsk, the convicted head of the fighting club “Akhmat” opened fire

In Angarsk, the president of the local fighting club “Akhmat” Vasyl Murachev shot at the president of the Angarsk boxing federation Alexander Rakislov and his friend Oganez Tumanyan. This was reported by the Telegram channel “Angarsky Spletnyk”.

In one of the city’s cafes, a verbal altercation took place between the men (what caused it is not specified), and Murachev shot Rakislov. In response, Tumanyan took a knife from the kitchen and hit Akhmat’s head several times with it, hitting him in the stomach. Murachev shot several more times, then drove away in his car.

The injured Tumanyan died in the hospital. Rakislov was diagnosed with a traumatic and gunshot wound to the chest and both legs. The police detained Murachev. A pistol was found in his car. He is also in the hospital, his ward is guarded by the police.

The Irkutsk office of the Investigative Committee announced the initiation of a criminal case under the article of attempted murder of two or more people. “It is known that the suspect and the victim are characterized negatively, they are recognized as persons of a criminal orientation,” the SC said in a statement.

According to unconfirmed information, Murachev fought in Ukraine as part of PMC “Wagner”, was pardoned, and returned to Angarsk shortly before the shootout.

Sibir.Realii reports that Murachev has been repeatedly tried. In May 2016, he was sentenced to one year of imprisonment for causing moderate harm to health, but less than an hour later he was sentenced to 360 hours of compulsory labor for causing minor harm to health – the total punishment was one year and two months of imprisonment.

In October 2018, Murachev was arrested in Angarsk together with three accomplices in the case of the theft of more than 160 tons of metal and 250 meters of cable from a factory located in the village of Meget. On February 17, 2022, the court sentenced Murachev to eight years of strict regime for robbery, large-scale extortion, as well as illegal possession of firearm cartridges.
