In Bashkortostan, another participant of the action in support of the convicted activist Fail Alsynov was charged with participation in mass riots. We are talking about Dima Davletkildin. About this His wife Yulia told RusNews.

According to the publication, Davletkildin was detained when he came to the police department on a summons, and then was taken to Ufa.

Earlier, Azat Myrzyn, Ilyas Baihuskarov and Vilyur Karachuryn were detained and sent to pre-trial detention center as part of the criminal case on mass riots.

According to local Telegram channels, more than 30 people were detained in Bashkortostan after the protests. Most of the detainees are charged with the administrative article of disobeying the police. On Saturday, the court in Ufa considered 27 such cases and found all of them guilty.

On January 17, the Baimak District Court of Bashkortostan sentenced the local activist, defender of Mount Kushtau, Fail Alsynov, to four years in a general regime colony on the charge of inciting hatred or enmity. He does not admit guilt.

Thousands of people gathered at the courthouse on the day the verdict was announced. They demanded the release of Alsynov. The police used tear gas and stun grenades, beat the demonstrators with batons. As a result of the action, several dozen people were detained.

The Investigative Committee opened a criminal case under the articles of organization and participation in mass riots, as well as the use of violence against representatives of the authorities.

Head of Bashkortostan, Rady Khabirov, commenting on the next day’s clash between Alsynov’s supporters and the police at the courthouse in Baymak, accused the protest organizers of separatism.

Today, the head of Bashkortostan published a video in which he claims that the protests in Baymak were organized from abroad. Evidence of this, according to Khabirov, is the fact that Bashkir activist Ruslan Gabbasov, who will be forced to leave Russia in 2021 due to a criminal case against him, currently lives in Lithuania. “Gabbasov, appointed by Western curators,” is connected with the situation in Baymak, Khabirov says in the video.

In the video, the head of Bashkortostan also accuses Fail Alsynov of calling for desertion by the Russian military, supporting changes in regional borders and calling for civil war, the Tatar-Bashkir Service of Radio Liberty Radio Azatlyk reports.

  • Fail Alsynov and Ruslan Gabbasov previously headed the organization “Bashkort”, which advocated the expansion of the autonomy of Bashkortostan. In 2020, the Russian authorities recognized “Bashkort” as an extremist organization and banned its activities on the territory of the country. The head of Bashkortostan, Rady Khabirov, demanded that Alsynov be held criminally responsible for “carrying out extremist activities” and “calling for anti-state demonstrations.”
