In Belgorod, by the beginning of the school year, the windows of the first floors of schools will be covered with sandblasts, which should protect them from the consequences of artillery and rocket fire, and the rest of the windows will be covered with armored film, said Yevgeny Babakin, director of the largest school in the Belgorod region, Education Center No. 1.
According to him, such security measures are mandatory for all primary and secondary educational institutions in the region.
At the same time, according to federal mass media, full-time and mixed education will begin on September 1 only in those educational institutions of the Belgorod region that are located more than 20 kilometers from the border with Ukraine. In Belgorod itself, learning in schools will be organized in two or three streams, and lesson time will be reduced by 5-10 minutes.
