In Chechnya, on Wednesday night, unknown persons fired at the district police station in the city of Gudermes, two attackers were killed. This was reported by the opposition telegram channel 1ADAT, as well as the Mash and VChK-OGPU telegram channels.
Later, the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, came to Gudermes. He confirmed that law enforcement officers killed two people in Gudermes on the evening of March 28, whom Kadyrov called militants.
According to him, they were blocked in a private house on the outskirts of the city and offered to surrender. In response, they threw a grenade. Law enforcement officers returned fire. He also added that no one from the security forces or civilians was injured.
Kadyrov accompanied the publication with a video in which he, standing next to the bodies of the killed, gives comments in the Chechen language, in particular, stating that the relatives of the attackers “must know what their children are doing.” Earlier, in the video, law enforcement officers remove the bodies of two men from the territory of a private house, the face of one of them is mutilated.
According to the preliminary information of the opposition blogger Tumso Abdurakhmanov, the attack could have been carried out by the same people who the day before fired at the police post on the border of Ingushetia and North Ossetia, but later Abdurakhmanov and NIYSO wrote that it was most likely local residents.
On the morning of March 29, the Investigative Committee of Russia informed RIA Novosti that the identities of those killed have been established: they are residents of Gudermes, born in 1963 and 1989, who were relatives. The SC opened a criminal case on the attack on the life of law enforcement officers.

It was also carried out by a local resident with a knife – the man was opened fire, he died in the hospital, the Ministry of Internal Affairs employees were not injured.
