In Irkutsk, a 15-year-old schoolboy was killed at the Lysykh bus stop on Saturday evening. This was reported by the publication “IrCity” with reference to a source in the power structures. Information also appeared in city forums. The message was later confirmed by the Investigative Committee and the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Eyewitnesses claim that a group of young people approached the teenager – as they say, about ten people. After the question “What area are you from, chushpan?” one of them reportedly stabbed the boy in the throat (Babr Mash telegram channel claims that one of the attackers first hit the schoolboy on the head, after which a fight broke out, during which the teenager was stabbed). Eyewitnesses called an ambulance, but it was not possible to save the victim.

The main department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Irkutsk region reported that the police had already detained two suspects. According to reports, the same knife was found in one of them, and a criminal case has been opened for murder, Sibir.Realii writes. The Ministry of Internal Affairs characterizes what happened as a “conflict of minors”.

The school is now collecting money for the family of the dead boy.

The word “chushpan” returned to the lexicon after the release of the TV series “The boy’s word. Blood on the asphalt” about criminal Kazan in the 1980s and youth gangs (which were widespread in Kazan, Naberezhnye Chelny and other districts of Tatarstan – a similar phenomenon also existed in other cities of the then USSR). In the jargon, young people who did not belong to groups, could not respond to an insult, and for whom there was no one to stand up, were called “chushpan”.

The State Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Irkutsk region issued a special clarification on Sunday evening. “Internet users associated the incident with a popular TV series,” the message says. However, as it is said, the suspect “explained that he did not watch this series. Thus, the information about the relationship between the incident and the series is not confirmed”, – the Ministry of Internal Affairs states.
