In Krasnoyarsk, people were detained in a bar after Mizulyna’s message

Employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Russian Guard in Krasnoyarsk on the evening of February 24 staged a raid and checked the establishment “Elton” for propaganda of so-called non-traditional values. As reported in the telegram channel of the regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of the raid, 12 bar patrons were taken to the police department, from whom explanations were taken, the specifics of which are unknown. The police also said that they checked alcohol and the presence of prohibited substances and objects. The owner of the club, as reported, “is being investigated on the fact of a provocative party.”

According to the mass media, on the night of February 24, a travesti party “Day of the Defender of the Fatherland” was held in the “Elton” bar. Ekaterina Myzulyna, head of the Safe Internet League, drew attention to photos and videos from the event. She was upset that the men performing on stage were made up and dressed like women.

“In Krasnoyarsk, the LGBT bar not only did not close, but also held a provocative party in honor of Defender of the Fatherland Day. We will appeal to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia regarding this situation,” Myzulyna wrote.

After this post on social networks, the police announced that they would conduct an investigation. The bar itself told NGS24.RU that they know the visitor who sent a denunciation with a photo and video of Myzulina. According to them, this is a visitor who previously visited the establishment, but at one of the parties “behaved inappropriately” and then “offended”. “This, by the way, is about the quality of the person who makes such reports,” said the representative of Elton. He also referred to the recent speech of the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, who stated that people of the so-called non-traditional orientation in Russia are allegedly not discriminated against.

“Exactly the same as in other bars, we celebrated a state holiday. An artist performed on stage, this is not some kind of uniform, a themed costume was specially made, for any holiday thematic numbers are made. I don’t understand why our members of the public believe that the citizens of Russia do not have the right to celebrate a state holiday”, Sibir.Realii quotes him. However, all the photos and videos taken that evening disappeared from the bar’s social media pages.

In December, the police already came to Elton. Then all the visitors were taken away from the establishment because of complaints about young people kissing in the premises. After the first raid on the bar, a protocol was drawn up on the so-called LGBT propaganda. Representatives of “Elton” then denied that it is an LGBT bar. As “Mediazona” drew attention, the case was closed due to the absence of an administrative offense.
