In Novosibirsk, unknown persons set fire to an inactive Su-24 bomber parked on the territory of an aircraft factory. This is reported by Baza.

According to the Telegram channel, police officers learned about the arson from “social networks”. After inspecting the territory of the plant, the police found a 1990 Su-24 with signs of arson. The plane was under conservation. It is clarified that the Su-24 was not seriously damaged, traces of burning were found on the chassis. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, arsonists entered the territory of the plant, cut the mesh on the fence. They were caught on one of the video surveillance cameras.

A video of the plane being set on fire on May 9 was shared by the Telegram channel of the so-called “Legion of Freedom of Russia” – a military unit formed from Russians and fighting on the side of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The message said that the plane “has successfully burned down and will no longer need repairs.”

Later, the “War with fakes” Telegram channel close to the Ministry of Defense wrote that the video was staged and filmed in Ukraine. A source in the plant’s administration said that there were no incidents on the territory. “This is a carefully guarded object and it is difficult to imagine that outsiders could freely move around it, not to mention setting fire to something there while filming,” the message said.

Telegram channel “Novosibir” of the regional government made a repost of the publication “Wars with fakes”. “There were no incendiaries. This is disinformation. It is strange that until now no official refutation has been received from the concern itself. This is a fake, I say with 100% certainty,” said the source of “NGS” in the regional government.
