In St. Petersburg, the rapist of his children was sentenced to life imprisonment

The City Court of St. Petersburg sentenced local resident Denis Runov and his wife Ekaterina Sinkina. They are found guilty of sexual violence against children and the production of child pornography. Runov was sentenced to life imprisonment, Sinkina to 17 years in a colony.

As reported by Sever.Realii, Runov and Sinkina, according to the investigation, systematically raped their daughter (the first time it happened a few days after her birth) and adopted son, as well as children who came to visit him. In addition, the spouses filmed their actions on video, which, according to “Fontanka”, Runov sold on the Internet.

Runov and Sinkina admitted their guilt.

• In Russia, in January 2022, the punishment for pedophilia was tightened – a life sentence was introduced for those who molested children under the age of 18 and those who committed the crime for the first time against two or more children. For this, amendments were made to Article 131 of the Criminal Code (rape) and 132 of the Criminal Code (violent acts of a sexual nature).
• Before that, life imprisonment was provided only for the rape of children under the age of 14 by criminals who had previously been convicted of similar crimes.
