In the Donetsk region, a maternity hospital came under fire, three people were killed

In the city of Selydovo, Donetsk region of Ukraine, on Wednesday night, as a result of Russian shelling, a hospital building was damaged, there are dead and wounded. This is confirmed by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine and the police of the Donetsk region.

It is reported that the maternity ward of the hospital, where about 150 patients were said to be, suffered the most during the shelling. Three people died, including a child. Six more people were wounded. According to reports, a 6-month-old baby was found alive from under the rubble. Patients were reportedly evacuated to other hospitals.

The day before, Russian pro-military Telegram channels and some mass media reported that a large number of Ukrainian soldiers were allegedly killed when Russian troops attacked the training ground in Selydovo – up to 1,500 people were mentioned. Representatives of the Armed Forces called these reports untrue. As the representative of the Ukrainian command “Tavria” stated, “there were no such losses, such an event in the Selydovo district at all.” According to the Ukrainian military, in recent days the Russian army has often struck Selidovo and its surroundings, but they claim that only civilian objects are hit. The city is located approximately 20 kilometers from the front line.

On the afternoon of February 14, two women were killed in shelling of the town of Nikolaevka in the Donetsk region, near Kramatorsk. This was reported by the head of the Donetsk regional military administration, Vadym Filashkin. One person is injured.

In the Kharkiv region, on the afternoon of February 14, the village of Velikiy Burluk was shelled. According to Oleg Synegubov, the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, according to preliminary data, seven people were injured. People may remain under the rubble – it is said that the rocket hit a two-story apartment building and another residential building next to it.

Russian military strikes have not yet been commented on. All populated areas, which were shelled on Wednesday, are located at some distance from the front line, in the rear of the Ukrainian troops.
