In Krasnodar Krai, on the morning of May 5, on the territory of the Ilskoye oil refinery, a fire broke out for the second time in two days as a result of a drone attack. This is reported by TASS with reference to a source in the emergency services.
According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the area of the fire was 60 square meters. Open burning has already been eliminated. According to preliminary data, there are no victims, the department added.
As reported to “Interfax” in the Unified Duty Dispatching Service of the district, an explosion occurred on the territory of the refinery, and the air installation was damaged.
The Mash Telegram channel, citing refinery workers, claims that the attack on the oil refinery was carried out by a group of saboteurs. They allegedly blew up the installation and tried to hide, but were detained.
This is already the second similar incident at the Ilskoye Refinery in two days. Yesterday, the oil refinery was attacked by four drones at once. As a result, tanks with oil products on an area of 400 square meters caught fire.
- On May 3, in the Krasnodar region, a tank with oil products caught fire at the base of the company “Tamanneftegaz” near the port of Taman. The cause of the fire was the fall of the drone.
- After the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, drones repeatedly attacked objects, including refineries and oil storage facilities in the annexed Crimea and on the territory of Russia.
