As of the morning of March 15, due to the war and other reasons, 397 settlements remain without electricity in Ukraine.
This was reported by the press service of NEC “Ukrenergo”.
It is noted that electricity consumption decreases seasonally. On March 15, consumption decreased by 1.2% compared to the same time on March 14. Also, the decrease in cloudiness helps the operation of solar power plants. Instead, wind farms are producing less electricity than at the beginning of the week and are waiting for windier weather.
“Electricity produced by power plants of all types is sufficient to ensure the energy supply of all legal and household consumers. A deficit in the power system is not predicted,” the message says.
Currently, 397 settlements remain without electricity due to hostilities and other reasons. During the day, new damage was recorded in the networks of Oblenergo in the Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv, and Chernihiv regions.
In Kharkiv Oblast, 1,937 consumers were additionally cut off during the day. In the Donetsk region, electricity was cut off to consumers in the city of Myrnograd and one of the coal mining enterprises.
In the Sumy region, hostilities are preventing emergency restoration work, energy workers are waiting for permission from the military to travel to the damage sites. More than 8,530 consumers remain without electricity.
At thermal power plants, two power units were taken out for current repair during the day. At nuclear power plants, one unit is under current repair, one is in emergency repair.
In addition, electricity was exported to Slovakia, Hungary, Poland, Romania and Moldova during the day. The total volume is 4,310 MWh, with maximum capacity in individual hours up to 258 MW.
During the day, with the exception of the night, imports took place from Slovakia, Hungary, Poland, Romania and Moldova. The total volume is 6,652 MWh, with maximum capacity in individual hours up to 786 MW.
