The Vladivostok Garrison Military Court sentenced a mobilized reserve major to 2 years and 11 months in a colony-settlement in the case of failure to comply with an order during wartime. This was reported by the Telegram channel “Military Lawyers”, clarifying that the verdict was handed down on July 3.
Mobilized was appointed to the post of platoon commander. He refused to go to war in Ukraine, citing unfitness for service due to his health (category “D”).
However, the military medical commission decided that he was “fit with minor health deviations” (category “B”). The court refused to accept the documents of the defense about the health of the mobilized person. The reserve major did not admit his guilt.
Sibir.Realii editors clarifies that judging by the date of the sentence, it is about the case of Vladyslav Efimenko. Since 2023, at least six people have been convicted in the Primorsky Krai for failure to comply with an order during the mobilization period. Four more criminal cases are pending before the court.
