A new passage mechanism will be launched to connect the left and right banks in Zaporizhzhia. It will be launched this week.

About this Ivan Fedorov, the head of Zaporizhzhya OVA, said.

“We are developing a new mechanism for driving between the right and left banks of Zaporizhzhia – without traffic jams. Traffic on the “new” bridge will be made two-way instead of one-way,” he said.

Fedorov noted that a joint meeting was held with representatives of the regional and city authorities, the road rehabilitation service, the patrol police, and the hydroelectric plant. Meta – to unload the HPP and redistribute the flow of cars in Zaporizhzhia so that drivers move comfortably and safely.

“To this end, we are developing a new road traffic management scheme: we are updating the mechanism of two-way traffic on the dam, we are directing the flow of traffic through uncongested streets and other bridges, the city is providing new road signs and markings,” he added.

We will remind:

As a result of the missile attack on March 22, the largest hydroelectric power plant of Ukraine – DniproHEP in Zaporizhzhya was hit. There is no threat of a breach, the situation at the dam of the station is under control.

Ukrhydroenergo reported two direct hits to the Dnipro HPP located in Zaporizhzhia, HPP-1 and HPP-2. Currently, it is not known whether it will be possible to restore the latter, because it has suffered serious damage.

Later it became known that Russian rockets hit the Dnipro HPP 8 times, emergency services and emergency services are working at the station.

At the same time, Ukrhydroenergo does not rule out possible intentions of the enemy to completely destroy the station.

At the Dniprovska HPP, part of the equipment was started, but the station does not yet produce electricity.

According to Ihor Syrota, General Director of PJSC “Ukrhydroenergo”, it will take years to restore the Dnipro HPP to its design condition after the March 22 missile attack.
