International partners have allocated more than 700 million dollars for humanitarian demining projects in Ukraine

Ukraine’s international partners have allocated more than 700 million dollars equivalent to projects in humanitarian demining from 2022 to 2027.

About this informs Ministry of Economy.

It is noted that the key donors of Ukraine are the USA, Switzerland, Norway, EU countries, Japan, the Netherlands, Germany and others.

“Thanks to joint work, it is possible to return land to productive use, protect the population from the effects of explosive objects, and strengthen the system of anti-mine activities in Ukraine,” the message says.

In total, there have been 656 mine-related accidents since the Great War of Invasion. 296 civilians died from the explosions, and another 665 were injured.

It is added that the government will only strengthen the coordination of mine action activities with the international and professional community.

Government directs more than 2 billion hryvnias for humanitarian demining of agricultural lands and will compensate 80% of the funds for demining.
