Iran’s Oceanlink Maritime came under US sanctions because of military cargo

On April 4, the US Treasury Department announced the introduction of new anti-terrorist sanctions related to Iran. This time, the shipping company Oceanlink Maritime DMCC and 13 of its vessels came under restrictions for their role in the delivery of goods from the Iranian military.

The message of the US Ministry of Finance states that Oceanlink Maritime DMCC facilitated the supply of unspecified goods on behalf of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Iran and the Ministry of Defense of this country.
Iran has a network of affiliated groups in the Middle East, including in Lebanon, Syria, Iraq and Yemen.
American sanctions block all property under US jurisdiction. In addition, restrictive measures usually prohibit all transactions of people in the United States affecting any property or interests in the property of the specified company.
