Kaliningrad mobilized appealed to the regional government

Those mobilized from the Kaliningrad region recorded a video appeal to the governor of the region, Anton Alikhanov. They stated that their battalion was transferred from the Russian Ministry of Defense to the so-called “DNR”. They also reported that they were not prepared to carry out assault tasks, communication with the command was almost non-existent, and they were actually “thrown to the slaughter”. The Kaliningrad authorities appealed to the Ministry of Defense.

In the video from February 11, a group of men in camouflage uniforms and balaclavas declare that they were called up as part of the mobilization in October last year and sent to the Donetsk region of Ukraine. There, according to those mobilized, their battalion was retrained from territorial defense to assault infantry. The command, as the soldiers say, does not come to the location of the battalion. The military personnel consider the assault tasks they receive unreasonable, and compare themselves to cannon fodder.

The military claim that they were informed verbally about the battalion’s transfer to the “DPR” command. They clarified that they have not been registered in the military tickets, there are no documents, they have not seen any written orders.

The head of the press service of the government of the Kaliningrad region, Dmitry Lyskov, told RIA Novosti that they sent a request to the Ministry of Defense to clarify the situation and took it “for the personal control of the leadership of the region and the Baltic Fleet.”

• On September 21, Vladimir Putin announced a partial mobilization to continue the war on the territory of Ukraine. According to the President of Russia, citizens who are in the reserve should be called up for military service, and priority should be given to those who have combat experience. In addition, before sending to the front, the mobilized had to undergo appropriate training.
• Human rights activists regularly reported on the violation of the mobilization rules announced by the authorities and that many of the conscripts, who did not even pass a medical examination, were immediately sent to the front line. The same information regularly comes from the military themselves. Almost from all regions of Russia there were reports of insufficient supplies of the mobilized, insufficient equipment and insufficient preparation of the mobilized before being sent to the combat zone.
