KRAIL will check the legality of gambling advertisements in the Kyiv metro

The Gambling and Lotteries Regulatory Commission collects information to verify the legality of gambling advertising on the territory of the Kyiv Metro.
The Commission reported this in response to the request of the European Parliament.
“KRAIL has started collecting information necessary for consideration of the case regarding possible signs of violation of the legislation on advertising in the field of organization and conduct of gambling during the distribution of advertising on the territory of the Kyiv metro,” the answer reads.
Since October 2023, the Commission has acquired the authority to monitor compliance with the requirements of the Law “On Advertising” and punish gambling businesses for its violations. However, since then, KRAIL has not recorded a single case of violation of the legislation regarding the organizers of gambling games.
In particular, the Commission did not record a single case of violation of legislation regarding outdoor gambling advertising, which is completely prohibited by law.
