Krasnoyarsk businessman Bykov received 11 years in the second criminal case

In Krasnoyarsk, the court sentenced businessman and politician Anatoly Bykov to 11 years in prison in the case of inciting the murder of businessman Andrey Nekolov in 2005. This is reported by mass media with reference to the press service of the court. Taking into account the current sentence against Bykov, the court sentenced him to 17 years in a penal colony.

The prosecutor asked for 18 years in prison, taking into account Bykov’s current sentence.

According to the investigation, Bykov incited his acquaintance Alexander Zhivytsa to kill the former head of the regional boxing federation Andrey Grabovsky and businessman Andrey Nekolov. Grabovsky survived the attempt in 2004. Bykov escaped punishment in the case of the attempt on Hrabovsky because the statute of limitations had expired.

Nekolov was the founder of an industrial waste disposal company competing with Bykov’s enterprise. The investigation believes that in 2004, Bykov entrusted Aleksandr Zhivytsa with the murder of a competitor. For this, Zhivytsa was promised 50 thousand dollars. In October 2004, Nekolov survived the attack. He was killed only in January 2005 with a TT pistol. According to the investigators, Bykov paid the killer only a fifth of the fee due to the delay in the murder.

According to the sentence, Bykov is also obliged to pay 10 million rubles to the relatives of Grabovsky and Nekolov.

Bykov denies guilt.

• On September 7, 2021, an indictment was handed down against Bykov based on the verdict of the jury. He was found guilty of the murder of Krasnoyarsk residents Naumov and Voytenko in 1994 and sentenced to 13 years in a penal colony under the general regime.
• Anatoly Bykov was a member of the board of directors of the Krasnoyarsk Aluminum Plant (KrAZ), and was its co-owner. In 2002, he was convicted of organizing an attempt on the criminal authority Vylor Struganov, known as Pasha Tsvetomuzyk. The Moscow Municipal Court sentenced him to six and a half years of probation.
• From 1997 to 2016, Bykov, who owns business assets in Krasnoyarsk Krai, was elected as a deputy of the Legislative Assembly of the region. He participated in a number of political projects and provided them with financial support.
• In recent years, the politician could not participate in the elections due to the verdict in the Tsvetomuzyka case. In 2020, the ban on participation in the elections expired. Immediately after that, he was detained.
• Five criminal cases were initiated against Anatoly Bykov. In addition to organizing the murders, he was accused of tax evasion and the creation of a criminal community. The case for non-payment of taxes was terminated, since he fully compensated the damage. The SC also closed the case on the organization of a criminal community due to the expiration of the statute of limitations.
