Left-wing activist Darya Polyudova, sentenced to 9 years in prison for extremism and justifying terrorism on the Internet, announced a hunger strike in the colony. This was reported by her mother. According to her, Polyudova has been on hunger strike for three days. The reason for the hunger strike was that a blade was thrown into her cell – an item forbidden to be kept in the colony.

In addition, Polyudova said that she is being transferred to an industrial zone for sewing production, despite the fact that she does not know how to sew.

Darya Polyudova is the founder of the “Left Resistance” movement. Previously, she was accused of calling for separatism – Polyudova tried to organize a march “For the federalization of Kuban” in the Krasnodar region. She also went on pickets in support of Ukrainian and Crimean Tatar political prisoners convicted in the framework of the “Moscow case” and the “Network” case.

In 2021, she was charged with creating an extremist community and justifying terrorism. In 2022, the court sentenced her to 9 years in prison.
