Navalny announced the launch of an anti-war propaganda project

In the name of Alexei Navalny, who is currently on trial on new charges of extremism, a message about the launch of a new project appeared on social networks. Navalny calls the project the “Big propaganda machine of truth”. Agitation, according to him, will be anti-war and should be part of the election campaign before the upcoming presidential elections in Russia in 2024.

Navalny talks about the inevitable failure of Russia’s military invasion of Ukraine. “Putin showed himself to be a fool in the military sphere, a talentless military leader, but he is not a fool in politics. He knows that the basis of any political action is an idea and a word. Agitation and persuasion,” he says, and believes that anti-war agitation should influence the election voters and public opinion in general.

An extended version of the appeal is published on the politician’s website. It states that the first task of the project is to cover at least 10 million Russian voters with anti-war agitation. Agitation can take place on the Internet, in particular in social networks and messengers, and by creating conspiracy call centers. Navalny invites potential collaborators to join the project, especially IT specialists, marketers and sociologists.

“Our activity will certainly be declared illegal and subversive. All the forces of the state apparatus will be thrown into the fight against it. Well, that’s fine, and we will throw all the forces into the fight against the apparatus of war, corruption and stupidity”, – it is written on Navalny’s website.

He himself, Russian human rights defenders and the international community consider his persecution to be political. The “Fund to fight corruption”, created by Navalny, was declared an extremist organization in Russia and banned.
• On June 19, a new trial against Navalny began. Accusations against the politician are brought under seven articles of the Criminal Code. The most difficult of these articles is about the creation of an extremist community. Other articles are calls for extremism, the creation of an NGO that encroaches on the rights of citizens, the financing of extremism, the involvement of minors in committing dangerous acts, and the rehabilitation of Nazism.
