Anti-Semitic songs are played five times a day in the colony where opposition Russian politician Alexei Navalny is serving his term. This is stated in the politician’s telegram channel.
One of them contains the following terms:
“If Purim is celebrated in the Kremlin,
This means that the Third Rome is again in trouble.”
According to Navalny, “educational work” is carried out in the colony with such songs. Also, within its framework, prisoners are forced to watch videos “on the prevention of extremism” and listen to “patriotic music”. For example, the song “From what begins the family” performed by the deceased leader of the LDPR Vladimir Zhirynovsky or:
“Our guys were ambushed again,
They had to survive under heavy fire,
Some rat works in the headquarters,
And it’s a pity that it won’t be enough yet.”
“I tell the cops: do you even listen to what is being played in your zone? You yourself will be imprisoned for extremism. No, they say, everything is as it should be, educational work according to methodological recommendations,” writes Navalny.
Last week, Navalny was placed in a detention center for the 16th time for the next 15 days – the reasons for this were not disclosed. Tomorrow, May 31, a new trial should begin against the politician: he is charged with seven articles, including the creation of an extremist community.
- In June 2022, Navalny was transferred from the general regime colony in Pokrovo to the strict regime colony in Melekhov, Vladimir Region. Navalny and his supporters consider the criminal prosecution to be political.
