Oschadbank has closed p2p transfers through its website after a report by People’s Deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak about payment with his help for the services of the illegal online casino “1win” under code MCC 6012 (financial services). Interfax-Ukraine writes about this with reference to the bank’s message.

The bank’s press service explained that the service was closed precisely because of Zheleznyak’s mourning.
“The transfer that became the basis for the charges against Oshchad was an ordinary P2P transfer created on the bank’s official website for individuals. Considering the fact that it is impossible to isolate and block the implementation of such operations, because it is outside the bank’s zone of influence, it was decided to temporarily block access to this service on the site from May 7,” the bank reported.

Oschadbank added that the analysis of atypical activity of similar operations, as well as independent test operations, showed the possibility of criminals using the service on the bank’s website for illegal purposes.
At the same time, the state bank assured that it does not have any legal or technological relations with the organizers of totalizers, casinos or other types of gaming business, and for the purpose of safe transfer of funds, it offers to use the service “MobilnyOschad”.
