Oschadbank issued the first loan under the state program “eOsel” for the purchase of housing in a residential complex under construction, while previously loans were issued only for ready-made housing.

About this reported on the bank’s website.

The bank emphasized that the inclusion of housing under construction in the program significantly expands the offer for participants.

Previously, with YeOseli loans, it was possible to purchase real estate only on the secondary market or on the primary market, if the house has already been put into operation.

We remind you:

The “eOsel” affordable mortgage lending program has been operating since October 2022. Contract servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, employees of the security and defense sector, medical workers, teachers, and scientists can apply for a preferential mortgage at 3% per annum for up to 20 years with an initial payment of 20% of the housing cost.

At the end of 2022, the government recapitalized the Ukrfinzhitlo company, through which the state finances cheap mortgages, by UAH 30 billion through the issuance of domestic state loan bonds. According to Yulia Svyridenko, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy, such financing will be enough to issue 12,000-15,000 mortgage loans in 2023.

Currently, PrJSC “Ukrainian Financial Housing Company” (“Ukrfinzhitlo”) has issued loans to 1,346 families in the amount of over UAH 1.8 billion within the “eOselya” program.

Currently, the partner banks of the program include Globus, Oschadbank, PrivatBank, Ukrgasbank and Sky Bank.

Since the start of the program, Oschadbank has already financed 825 preferential loans for a total amount of over UAH 1.1 billion.

Earlier, the Ministry of Economy announced that in 2023 it is planned to increase the list of categories of citizens who will be able to get a loan for their own home. They will be able to take out a loan for the purchase of housing at 7% per annum. The government expects to make this program permanent.
