Peskov and Pugacheva came to Yudashkin’s funeral

The funeral of fashion designer Valentyn Yudashkin, who died on May 2, was held in Moscow at the Troekurovsky cemetery.

Hundreds of people, including many cultural and show business figures, came to say goodbye to Yudashkin – one of the most famous Soviet and Russian couturiers. Filming was prohibited in the funeral hall.

Among those who came to the funeral was the singer Alla Pugacheva, who had not been to Russia since September of last year.

The press secretary of the Kremlin Dmitry Peskov also came to the funeral. Eyewitnesses report that they had a short conversation with Pugacheva.

Alla Pugacheva spoke out against the war in Ukraine, and her husband Maksym Galkin, who repeatedly made anti-war statements, was included in the register of “foreign agents”. Commenting on this earlier, Peskov said that Galkin allowed “bad” statements, while Pugachev did not.

Klara Novikova, Vladimir Vinokur, Nadezhda Babkina, Yury Luzhkov’s widow Elena Baturina, Vladimir Mashkov, Sergey Zverev and other famous people also came to Yudashkin’s funeral. “Moscow Komsomolets” writes that after the funeral, Pugacheva was surrounded by a large crowd of worshipers, but she did not communicate with them and did not answer the question of whether she had left Russia forever.

Valentin Yudashkin was born in 1963. In 1991, Yudashkin’s first Faberge collection, consisting of 150 models, was presented in Paris at Haute Couture Week.

In 1994 and 1996, Yudashkin created costumes for the Russian Olympic team before the Games in Lillehammer and Atlanta. In 2008, he participated in the development of samples of parade uniforms for Russian military personnel. He was Vladimir Putin’s confidant in the presidential elections. In recent years, he was seriously ill.

On April 30, it became known about the death of Soviet and Russian fashion designer Vyacheslav Zaitsev. Yudashkin then expressed his condolences, told how he studied with Zaitsev.
