The court in Kursk sentenced Yevgeny Kazantsev, a native of St. Petersburg, to 12 years in a strict regime colony in the case of involvement in “Right Sector”. This was reported by the joint press service of the courts of the Kursk region.

According to the investigation, Kazantsev, “being a supporter of nationalist ideology”, was part of the paramilitary cell “Right Sector”.

As the newspaper “Kurskaya Pravda” previously wrote, Kazantsev lived in Ukraine in recent years. With reference to the materials of the criminal case, the publication reported that he joined the “Right Sector” in 2015. Later, according to the investigation, the St. Petersburg native participated in combat operations against the troops of the so-called “DPR” and “LPR”.
