PMC “Wagner” creates a “military police” in the occupied territories

The private military company “Wagner” is recruiting people with experience in the special units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia to serve in the military police in the occupied Ukrainian territories, reports “Vyorstka”. For such work, they promise to pay 240 thousand rubles a month and additional bonuses.

Journalists found an announcement on the page of PMC “Wagner” in the social network “VKontakte” that the company is recruiting former employees of the SOBR, OMON, and GROM, and that the job is “focused on detention, operational, and commandant functions.” An employee of “Vorstka” contacted the recruiter on the phone specified in the ad, who told him that he was talking about the “military police”, the main functions of which are to “detect sabotage and intelligence groups”, interrogate members of the DRG and conduct an “operational investigation”.

In addition, recruited employees will need to ensure that there is no theft, looting and drunkenness in the territories entrusted to them. A recruiter named Denys emphasized that the police would also follow the soldiers of the Russian army. “Catching the Ministry of Defense is not a bad thing. The creatures have multiplied there, they snort like pigs,” he said, adding that the new structure “has all the powers.” To whom they are given – the recruiter did not specify.

Earlier, in response to the order of the Minister of Defense of Russia, Sergei Shoigu, to sign contracts with the Ministry of Defense for all Russian military formations that are not part of the department, the founder of PMC “Wagner” Yevgeny Prigozhin said that he would not do this. Along the way, he once again accused Shoigu of the fact that he “cannot properly manage military formations.”

According to Prigozhin, 32,000 of them have already returned and received pardons for their participation in hostilities. Recently, mass media have regularly reported on serious crimes, including murders and rapes, committed by fighters of the PMC “Wagner” who returned from Ukraine.
