PKO Bank Polski
The bank offers “borderless account” for citizens of Ukraine, serviced free of charge for 12 months from the date of opening.
When opening an account, it is not necessary to indicate the address of residence in Poland and a telephone number. The bank also canceled the commission for quick transfers to Kredobank and for foreign transfers to any Ukrainian bank. The offer is valid until the end of June 2023.
Bank Pekao — cash withdrawal without commission
The special offer for citizens of Ukraine was also extended by 1 hour. We are talking about zero commission for servicing accounts, cards, withdrawing cash from all ATMs in Poland and abroad, including in Ukraine. In general, preferential conditions are valid for 2 years from the date of conclusion of the contract. All bank clients will be able to make free transfers from and to Ukraine until the end of 2023.
VeloBank — without account maintenance commission
Until the end of June, this bank will not charge a monthly fee for servicing cards and accounts in Polish zlotys, euros, dollars, pounds sterling and Swiss francs.
Ukrainians can also deposit and withdraw cash for free in bank branches and from bank payment accounts for citizens of Ukraine — in zlotys and foreign currency. Also, Ukrainian clients can withdraw and deposit cash at ATMs for free, make transfers to Ukraine without commission.
Santander — an offer for Ukrainians until the end of April
It is noted that the preferential offer to Ukrainians will be valid until the end of April 2023. The bank offers free access to a personal account with a package of services for citizens of Ukraine:
- zero commission for transfers to/from Ukrainian banks;
- exemption of corporate clients from commissions for maintaining a company account in zlotys;
- for maintaining the company’s account in foreign currency, for the company’s debit card for accounts in zlotys and foreign currency;
- for servicing corporate cards issued from March 1, 2022.
Most other banks will service the accounts of Ukrainian citizens within a year from the moment the account is opened or until the end of February 2023.
Let’s remind
Since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, the largest banks in Poland have prepared special offers for citizens of Ukraine, given their lack of documents and the possibility of paying commissions. Also, most financial institutions have made Ukrainian-language versions of their mobile applications and keep documentation for opening accounts in Ukrainian.
