Prisoners began to be recruited to work at coal mining enterprises.
About this reported Minister of Justice Denys Malyuska on Facebook.
“Energy security is in safe hands! Our prisoners started working as miners,” Malyuska noted.
According to the minister, this will make it possible to fill the labor shortage, and the prisoners themselves will receive skills that will allow them to find employment in the future.
“Prisoners also receive a decent salary, which allows them to pay compensation for the damage caused by crime, pay taxes and fill the budget special fund,” Malyuska emphasized.
The minister added that 25 tons of coal, which is the basis of energy security, are mined for a shift of 10 workers.
We will remind:
International Energy Agency (IEA) predictsthat global demand for oil, natural gas and coal will peak by 2030, thanks in part to policies countries have already adopted to promote cleaner energy and transportation.
