The “Zapravka 38” Telegram channel published a photocopy of the last letter that Bakiev sent from the pre-trial detention center. In it, he asks to draw attention to the torture that was applied to him. The letter ends with the words: “Help me, please, I can’t do it myself anymore. I don’t want to die here with the wording that I’m alone.”

The court refused to demand compensation from the prisoners who mocked Bakiev due to his death.
