Producer Yury Bardash received Russian citizenship
Music producer Yury Bardash, born in Ukraine, received Russian citizenship. On Tuesday, he published a photo with a Russian passport on his Telegram channel. In this photo, Bardash is standing next to the Russian flag and a portrait of Vladimir Putin.
After the beginning of the large-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, the producer and singer went to Georgia, and from there to Russia. He has repeatedly stated that he supports the actions of the Russian authorities. Bardash also repeatedly criticized Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on social networks, Forbes notes.
Bardash founded and produced such projects as Quest Pistols, “Mushrooms”, “Nerves”. Worked with Ukrainian singer Luna (Bardash’s ex-wife).
Yury Bardash was born in the city of Alchevsk, in the Luhansk region. In September 2022, already after the start of the full-scale war in Ukraine, he talked about his intention to obtain Russian citizenship and, on the recommendation of a priest from the monastery in Pechory in the Pskov region, change his name from Yuriy to Georgy.
