The President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, was awarded Chechnya’s highest award – the Order of Akhmat Kadyrov “for number one”. This was announced by the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov (son of the late Akhmat Kadyrov). As he wrote in a telegram, the award was presented “literally only что”.
At the same time, the decree on the awarding of the Kadyrov Order to Putin was signed back in 2007, the head of Chechnya wrote. Kadyrov does not specify what specifically prevented him from handing over the award to Putin earlier. He writes only that “there was neither a suitable occasion nor a reason to give the highest award.” At the same time, the head of the region himself, as well as his mother, daughter, son-in-law, nephew, a number of other relatives and close relatives, were previously knights of the order.
At the time of publication of the news, there is no information on the official website of the Kremlin about the circumstances of the awarding of the Order of Akhmat Kadyrov to Putin. According to official data, Putin personally met with Ramzan Kadyrov quite recently – on September 28. On Saturday, October 7, Putin’s birthday, Kadyrov called for the cancellation of the presidential elections in Russia or for the nomination of only one candidate – Vladimir Putin.
The announcement of the award was made against the background of the trial of Nikita Zhuravel from Volgograd, accused of burning the Koran. Putin allowed his case to be transferred to Chechnya. Kadyrov’s 15-year-old son Adam severely beat Zhuravel in the Grozny pre-trial detention center, for which he later received the title of Hero of the Republic.
- Ramzan Kadyrov’s son-in-law, Minister of Agriculture of Chechnya Vyskhan Matsuev, was awarded the Order of Kadyrov a day earlier.
- On September 28, Vladimir Putin held a working meeting in the Kremlin with Ramzan Kadyrov. The reception took place against the background of rumors about the serious illness of the head of Chechnya. It was planned to discuss the situation in the republic, Putin says in the video of the meeting, to which the head of Chechnya replies that there are no problems in the region.
