According to Opendatabot, in the first quarter of 2023 the average pension was about 5.2 thousand. UAH per month.

Therefore, many pensioners began to apply to the courts with the demand to transfer their pension. At the same time, in many cases the plaintiffs won the cases.

The courts obliged the state not only to pay the increased amount of pensions, but also to recalculate them for previous periods.

Debts

According to the calculations of the Ministry of Finance, by March 1, 2023, according to the court decision, the state must pay UAH 43.1 billion in 333.4 thousand lost business

Only in relation to military pensions, the state’s debt according to court decisions amounts to about UAH 22 billion.

The amount owed may increase

The department notes that there are high risks that the amount of debt will increase, since the Ukrainian courts, in particular the Constitutional Court, can make new decisions that are not in favor of the state.
