Rosfinmonitoring included the Russian actor Artur Smolyaninov in the list of terrorists and extremists. Earlier, Smolyaninov was included in the list of foreign agents in Russia.
In January, the chairman of the Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrykin, instructed to open a criminal case against the actor. “In an interview with one of the Western publications, Smolyaninov made a number of statements directed against Russia,” the department noted.
Earlier in an interview with Novaya Gazeta Evropa, Artur Smolyaninov stated, in particular, that he would fight on the side of Ukraine if he were to go to war. “For me, it’s not even on the side of Ukraine, for me it’s on the side of the brothers who were attacked by my other brothers,” the actor said.
After the release of the interview, there were insults directed at the actor and a call to write statements to law enforcement agencies on the telegram channels of supporters of the war. Several members of the State Duma criticized the text.
In October of last year, it was reported that an administrative case was opened against Smolyaninov in Russia under the article on the discrediting of the Russian army. Commenting on this news to “Meduza”, Smolyaninov noted that Russian laws do not exist for him: “They, like the state itself, are inherently criminal, which means they have neither moral nor legal force.”
Along with Artur Smolyaninov, Rosfinmonitoring also added the former adviser to the President of Ukraine, Alexei Arestovych, to the list of terrorists and extremists, RIA Novosti reports. “It’s a trifle, but it’s nice,” Arestovych commented on the decision in his Telegram channel.
All accounts and bank cards of those on the Rosfinmonitoring list are blocked. Among other things, they cannot inherit and issue a power of attorney at a notary.
