“Yes, on April 25, 2023, in the Joint Coordination Center, representatives of Russia refused to coordinate the movement of ships to/from the seaports of Ukraine along the humanitarian corridor operating within the framework of the Black Sea Initiative on the export of grain and related food cargo by sea,” the message says.
Therefore, three vessels could not leave the ports of Chernomorsk, Odesa and Yuzhny today. One of them was supposed to deliver wheat to Ethiopia. Also, one ship is waiting for a passage to the port of Odessa in the Sulina district.
“In addition, from the morning of April 26, 2023, false information began to spread on the Internet about the alleged ban by the Navy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the movement of commercial vessels as part of the grain initiative from/to the port of Great Odessa. Such information is completely untrue,” added the Navy.
It was noted there that Ukraine strictly fulfills all obligations assigned to it within the framework of the Black Sea Grain Initiative and makes maximum efforts to maintain and expand the export of grain and related food cargoes by sea in the interests of our state.
Let’s remind
The Ministry of Finance wrote that the G7 countries called for the continuation, full implementation and expansion of the critically important agreement on the export of Ukrainian grain through the Black Sea.
