Sakhalin was fined for public reflection on May 9

The court in the Sakhalin Region fined local resident Pavel Boyko 30,000 rubles for discussions on May 9 in the messenger.
According to the court decision, Boyko published in the district chat the mobile application “WATCAP” (probably means the WhatsApp messenger – PC) his thoughts about May 9, put at the same time “this is correct” (probably means emojis or meme – RS).
“We have absolutely nothing to celebrate, we should be ashamed to exchange congratulations – where is our victory, what is it? We are in occupation and in special operations at the same time,” Boyko wrote.
“Who are we congratulating? Veterans? There are few of them left, they don’t use the Internet, we let them down. We are congratulating each other, but with what? So – a minute of silence and definitely not together with a zombie bomber,” Boyko continued. In his post, he also noted that “the bulk of our citizens shook to collectively say NO to this war.”
The court considered the reflection discrediting the Russian army. Boyko was threatened with a fine of up to 50,000 rubles, but the court took into account “the presence of mitigating and the absence of aggravating” circumstances in his actions.
