The Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany expresses his confidence in the issue of prolonging the war. He claims that this is the responsibility of Vladimir Putin. He emphasized that the speed of the end of the war depends on the speed of the Russian leader’s understanding of the impossibility of fulfilling imperialist ambitions.
Scholz also added that his people will support the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the fight against the aggression of the Russian Federation as much as it is necessary.
The chancellor was previously quite skeptical about the support of the Ukrainian state in terms of supplying Leopard tanks to the Armed Forces. It is not known what changed his mood at the moment. Perhaps this is due to the fact that the Ukrainian army is giving strong resistance to the Russians.
Earlier, Scholz discussed an important topic with Macron and Zelensky.
